Commitment to Fair Trade

January 17, 2020

Never be afraid to do what’s right especially if the well-being of a person is at stake.

                                                                                            —Martin Luther King, Jr.

The well-being of a person, of a community, is what the practice of fair trade fosters and protects. Fair trade is a partnership, based on communication, transparency, and respect, that seeks greater equity in international trade.  This equity allows people to earn a fair, living wage while working in safe conditions.

Our partner, Indigenous, is a pioneer in fair trade fashion and for over 20 years they have been leaders in ethical and eco-friendly apparel. They ensure that for every Indigenous garment that is purchased, more and more money goes directly back to into the supply chain to support artisans and their communities.Learn more about the fair trade commitments of Indigenous here.

We are so proud that Indigenous is part of The Renewal Workshop family.  They have always done what’s right for both people and planet.
