Curb Food Waste

Did you know that the vast majority of food waste in our country is pre-consumer contact? Even so there are things you can do in your own home that will help to curb your personal food waste.  Inhabit shared a few tips in their recent article about the partnership of celebrity chef Andrew Zimmerman and ALDI grocery who have come together to combat food waste.

A useful piece of advice from Zimmerman is to keep a log of all the food you throw away over two weeks so you can see the patterns in your kitchen.  Once you have that understanding, you can make a change that will make a difference. Try it out and see if it curbs food waste in your home—bon appetit!
