Home Goods Renewal: Cleaning

September 18, 2020

Today is another milestone day for our circular journey. We are thrilled to launch our Home Goods category online! We've been working with the amazing team at Coyuchi for the last few years on a circular program that renews products for their Point Reyes store. Now, with the new line of Pottery Barn Renewed, we can offer home options here at renewalworkshop.com.

Earlier this year, we did a series on the Renewal Process for apparel. Renewing home goods follows the same six step process with a few nuances and much bigger textiles to get wrinkles out of.

One thing we knew going into the home category was that cleaning mattered. It matters in all of our products but the feeling you get from freshly washed sheets and towels, that's one of those little life joys that means something. If you've been on this journey with us for a while, you know how seriously we take the cleaning process. One of our largest investments when we started the business - both physically and financially was in our Tersus Solutions Cleaning system. This gigantic combination of canisters and pipes and vault like door is the world’s most advanced waterless cleaning technology. Tersus harnesses the gentle cleaning properties of liquid CO2 to remove oils, odor, and particulates. It’s a closed-loop system where the CO2 starts out as a gas and is compressed to a liquid. At the end of the process, the pressure is released and the CO2 turns back into a gas. It eliminates the need for water, produces no effluent and the gentle heatless process protects against shrinkage and fiber degradation.

As you browse through all these beautiful, renewed products, you can rest assured they all meet that clean as new standard and the best part - our team did all that laundry for you! We hope you'll have many moments of little and big joy with the latest in Renewed.
