Why do you work at The Renewal Workshop?
I really wanted my next job to help make the planet a better place to live so when I found out about The Renewal Workshop and what it stood for and I got so excited! I love that we are actively helping save clothing from going into landfills and helping businesses go from linear to circular. I also love that The Renewal Workshop cares about everyone just as much as they care about the planet!
What’s your favorite Renewed item?
I love my Renewed North Face Venture 2 Jacket because it is a lightweight shell that keeps my dry in the rainy Pacific Northwest!
Do you have a tip, trick or advice to share with others living circular?
I try to be conscious of how I can be as zero waste as possible. It’s not always possible but I think actively about it which really helps cut down on the amount of waste I create, whether it’s bringing reusable cutlery and to go containers to restaurants or trying to find alternative uses for a damaged shirt or having a compost pile for food waste. I also recommend trying something new every year. This year I took up mountain biking even though I am not the most graceful person. I love seeing my skills get better after each ride (and seeing less bumps and bruises). It does not have to be something big but trying out new skills and hobbies can show you things you might not have thought you would enjoy!
