Meet the Team: Our Caring Customer Service Hiker

Why do you work at The Renewal Workshop?
I’ve been patching and sewing up my outdoor gear for as long as I can remember. Every jacket in my closet has its own rambling story. What I admire about The Renewal Workshop and why I work here is the company’s innovative dedication to sustainability. We extend the life of products that have already been made and encourage customers to live similar, circular lifestyles.
What's your favorite Renewed Item?
My The North Face Renewed Down L6 Belay Parka, hands down. This jacket keeps me comfortable whether I’m trekking in the subarctic or just throwing frisbees in the backyard for my pup, June.
Do you have a tip, trick, or advice to share with others living circular?
I used to volunteer as a mountain guide on Mount St. Helens. I’d take hikers from across the world to the summit, on backpacking trips and to the lower crater rim. It was an amazing experience that rerouted my life’s trajectory in more ways than one. Volunteering is an awesome way to meet new friends and learn skills without quitting your day job. There are few things more important than connecting with our public lands. Do yourself a big favor and contact your local ranger station about summer volunteer opportunities!
