Why do you work at The Renewal Workshop?
Because The Renewal Workshop is doing incredible work! Having spent 10+ years in sustainable retail and apparel industries, I was inspired by the innovation and creativity of The Renewal Workshop’s mission and work. As a member of the team, I have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse group of amazing brands, I am constantly being challenged and learning new things, and I feel empowered to make a difference.
What’s your favorite Renewed item?
The Coyuchi Renewed Mojave Linen Blanket. Coyuchi has recently launched a web shop for their Renewed 2nd Home goods—previously only available in stores—and I’ve been delighted to have the opportunity to shop the collection and love how the Mojave Linen Blanket looks in my room.
Do you have a tip, trick, or advice to share with others living circular?
Keep reading! I’ve found that I’ve become hopelessly tied up in tech as we continue to spend time at home. I got in to a good book over the weekend and was reminded how easy it is to be transported away with a book which is especially welcome during this pandemic. I just picked up “Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things” by Michael Braungart and William McDonough—recommended to me as essential reading for working in circular—and have just finished “Daughter of Fortune” an old favorite by Isabel Allende.
