Last weekend in New York, Nicole Bassett joined other leaders and innovators in circular business to participate in the MIT Solve Circular Economy Challenge. The Challenge seeks tech-based solutions that help people create and consume goods that are renewable, repairable, reusable and recyclable.
Finalists, chosen from 300 submissions, presented their pitches for changes and subsequently seven winners were announced. The Renewal Workshop was one of these winners! Solutions ranging from capturing air pollution from printing inks, to a platform for tracking sustainability metrics, to a substitute for animal leather made from agricultural waste are examples of the amazing ways these entrepreneurs are making the changes we need right now.
We are proud to be in such innovative and creative company and are equally proud to be a leading the way for circular business. The grant funding awarded will help us to continue to make the changes that are needed now to make our planet healthier.
