New Growth for Old Trees

Best time to plant a tree, 20 years ago.  Second best time to plant a tree, today. 

This is the Chinese proverb that begins a short film about David Milarch.  He is an arborist who was inspired by his brush with death to bring new life to old growth trees like Californian Redwoods. Learn more about it here.

The proverb, as well as Milarch’s aim to help the planet, rings true for us at The Renewal Workshop.  We are keenly aware the linear model of business (take-make-waste) should have been disrupted and changed years ago.  Yet we know that the work we are doing today, with the help of our partners and our customers, is having a vital impact.  We are planting seeds of the circular business and we look forward to seeing them grow.
