Our Values: Finding Solutions
Brene Brown has said when we live in our values, and behave in a way that reflects them, we are clear about what we believe and take care that our intentions, words, thoughts, and behaviors align with those beliefs. When The Renewal Workshop was founded, we set forth a set of six values that have lead us through all that we do. Recently, we have asked our team to operationalize our company values by being aware of how those guiding beliefs show up in our work and our work behaviors.
While we are in the process of reflecting on how our values are represented in what we do, we wanted to remind you of about those six values. This week we will share three of the six—the three that connect with finding solutions.
We look for simple solutions to complex problems. We value common sense. We believe in the wisdom of nature, looking to evolve, adapt, and learn constantly from our changing environment.
We see service as a way of being and behaving. We think of others first, from our brand partners to our customers to the environment. We exist to be of service to the bigger picture, solving problems to create a more positive world.
Systems expertise is in our DNA. We use processes and systems as tools to free ourselves from inefficiency and to solve big problems. Good systems do not restrict innovation and collaboration, they cultivate them.
The Renewal Workshop is the leading provider of circular solutions for apparel and textile brands. It is our mission to make the world a better place by solving problems created by the linear model. The values we shared today provide us with a vital reminder to keep solving problems so that we can all share in a healthier planet.
