prAna Reshapes Packaging
From the start, our partner prAna has been dedicated to reducing the impact on the environment. Their commitment to sustainability is reflected in the materials they use, in their fair-trade certification, and in their efforts to keep harmful chemicals out of their products. They know that how they deliver their product makes an impact too.
In 2010 prAna began to change their packaging and since that time they have eliminated over 20 million plastic bags. Going forward they have commendable goals:
- by fall 2021 100% plastic-free packaging,
- by 2022 eliminate use of materials from ancient and endangered forests,
- by 2025 eliminate use of materials from virgin forest fibers.
Through prAna’s Responsible Packaging Movement, they encourage individuals, like you, to join in by making choices like avoiding single use food packaging, reducing use of paper products, and buying from brands that are committed to minimal or sustainable packaging. They also want to include others in the industry. prAna shares their best practices with like-minded brands so that more companies—and most importantly—the planet can benefit.
The Renewal Workshop is proud to have prAna as a partner and to share in their commitment to reduce packaging.
