Renewal Process: Certification
One of the things that makes Renewed different from other options in the market is our Certification system. Every single product is inspected and certified to a specific standard. For the Renewal Workshop, our standards are:
Restored to Like-New Condition.
Reconditioned which means there might be some kind of visible flaw or missing aesthetic element. The product is still fully functional and does everything it was designed to do but the visible flaw means it does not meet like-new standards.
Reused are products that show wear and tear. They may still function in some way but they may not be up to the original intended purpose.
Remade are new creations made out of existing products.
Currently, we only sell our Restored to Like-New condition on renewalworkshop.com. If you've been to an event or our Warehouse Sale, you may have seen products from the other Certified Standards.
When you shop on The Renewal Workshop, you're choosing from options that our Quality Assurance technician has carefully inspected to confirm the working order of each zipper, button, snap, and closure. In addition, the item is individually checked to make sure there is no pilling, fading, fabric fatigue or overall signs of exterior wear. Once the review is complete and standards have been met, the product is approved to be certified as Restored to Like-New condition. This certification provides consumers with knowledge that this item is unlike many second-hand products because cleaning and repair are the crucial steps to make it like-new.
Our ultimate goal is to make products better so they can be used again and again. By employing such a rigorous renewal process, we add value back into the product and make it last even longer. For us, it's about making every product more circular not just selling things a second time. We want to keep everything out of landfill and to provide you, the renewed consumer, with something you will cherish, enjoy and be proud to own.
