Steps for Being Present
It sounds like an easy thing, to be present and in the moment, but when you give it try you realize how much the mind is always working. It’s working on how to accomplish what needs to be done tomorrow or maybe it’s still trying to figure out how a situation—that happened years ago—was so awkward. As difficult as it may be, being present is a skill that should be honed.
The ability to stay in the moment allows us to focus on what’s in front of us and, most importantly, to experience it. Here are five steps on being present so you can practice this skill and take advantage of each moment and all that it holds to be sure it doesn’t pass you by.
