Take-Back is on Trend

September 19, 2019

When we think about being fashionable, it's about being up to date, keeping up with the new trends and styles. For some that's super fun and appealing, for lots of us, we're happy to sit out the ever-changing shifts of Must Have lists. Thankfully, we've finally found fashion trend we can all agree on: sending your clothes back.

To be clear, not the clothing that you cherish and are wearing regularly, of course, but those items that you may be ready to move out of your closet.  There is a way to do this sustainably.  The Renewal Workshop and their partners, as well as many other apparel brands, offer consumers the chance to send clothing back so it can be managed responsibly instead of ending up in landfill. Our partners have chosen to lead the apparel industry by taking things back into a zero waste system that renews, recycles or remakes everything that comes in.

Recently Vogue Business reported that take-back programs are becoming increasingly popular for apparel brands.  The apparel and textile industry has long operated on a linear model, the take-back option is offering them—and you—a chance to become more circular.  Finally, we've found a fashion trend we can all agree on -  one that makes the planet healthier.
