Background:

Welcome to The Renewal Workshop Inc. (“TRW”) website. This website was created to provide you with information about our company and our e-commerce website.  The TRW e-commerce website offers renewed, eco-friendly apparel from premium outdoor clothing brands and related services.  In this Privacy Policy we refer to the TRW website and ecommerce site collectively as  the “Sites”. 

This Privacy Policy explains our data practices regarding Personal Information and other information collected by TRW in connection with your use of the Sites.

Scope:

This Privacy Policy applies only to Personal Information and other information that we collect from or about visitors to or users of the TRW Sites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to publicly available information or any information you post to any public areas of the Sites, such as any suggestions, comments, ideas, and other unsolicited submissions (collectively, “Submissions”). Your Submissions may be read, collected and used by third parties and as a result you may be contacted by such third parties whom we do not control.

Information We Collect:

When you engage with the Sites, we may collect information that alone or in combination with other information could be used to identify you as described below:

Personal Information: When you register for an account with TRW, place an order through the Sites, we will ask you to create an account password and provide us with your:

• Full name
• Email address
• Telephone number
• Postal address
• Payment information

We may collect Personal Information when you interact with customer service or post comments on our blog.]

By voluntarily visiting or engaging with the Sites and providing us with Personal Information, you consent to our use of your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Information to us through the Sites and are located outside of the United States, you consent to the transfer of your Personal Information from your current location to the offices and servers of TRW and authorized third parties in the United States, and the processing and storage of it by us or by such authorized third parties in the United States.

Other Information:

IP Addresses; Device IDs: When you visit the Sites, some information is automatically collected. For example, we may collect your computer's operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address, access times, browser type and language, and referring website addresses. This information may be used for various purposes, including to analyze and report upon visits to and usage of the Sites, to diagnose and prevent service or technology problems affecting the Sites and to monitor and prevent fraud and abuse. If you access our Sites from a mobile device, we may also collect information about the type of mobile device you use, your device's unique ID, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use and may also request access to your settings information for similar purposes. We also collect information about your usage of and activity on our Sites. By visiting and using the Sites, you are consenting to the collection of IP addresses and device identifiers.

Demographic Information: When you engage with the Sites we may ask you to provide certain demographic information, such as whether you fall into a certain age range.  This information on its own cannot identify you.  If we combine it with information that can identify you we will treat it as Personal Information.

Automatically Collected/Non-Personal Information: When you interact with TRW through the Sites, we use various technologies, such as cookies and web beacons or gifs to passively collect information from you that, on its own, does not identify you personally.  This information includes the browser or operating system you use to access the Internet, your IP address, the date and time you may have viewed certain pages on the Sites. TRW may collect and store this information, or this information may be collected by and included in databases owned and maintained by our agents or service providers. If we combine Automatically Collected/Non-Personal Information with Personal Information, we will treat the combination like Personal Information.

Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive by a website. Among other things, we may use cookies to see which features of the Sites are popular or to help us improve the Sites and your experience.

Web beacons, or gifs, are electronic images that may be used on our Sites or in our emails. These technologies help us provide additional functionality on the Sites, analyze how visitors and users use the Sites, and measure traffic.

Aggregated Information: In an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the users of the Sites, TRW often conducts research on its customer demographics, interests and behavior based on the Personal Information and Automatically Collected/Non-Personal Information. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis, and TRW may share this aggregated information with its agents and business partners. This aggregated information does not identify you personally. TRW may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe the Sites to current and prospective business partners, or other third parties for other lawful purposes.

Use of Your Personal Information:

We use Personal Information to allow you to make purchases and to fulfill your orders.  We may also use your Personal Information to: (i) send you information about our company and products; (ii) send you promotions and other marketing materials; and (iii) respond to your comments and questions. In addition, we may use your Personal Information to communicate with you about new contests, promotions and rewards, upcoming events, and other news about products and services offered by TRW and our selected partners. You may opt out of receiving any or all promotional or marketing emails from TRW by following the instructions in the emails. If at any time you wish not to receive any future marketing communications or you wish to have your name deleted from our mailing lists, please contact us here or at the address below.  Please note that we will still send you non-promotional emails, such as emails about your accounts or our ongoing business relations.

Disclosure of Your Personal Information:

We may share your Personal Information with certain third parties without further notice to you, in the following circumstances:

Business Transfers and Changes: As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of all or a portion of company assets, financing, transition of service to another provider or a similar event, your information may be sold or transferred as part of such a transaction as permitted by law and/or contract.

Agents, Vendors, Service Providers and Related Third Parties: TRW, like many companies, sometimes hires and works with other companies (including third party vendors, consultants and other third party service providers) to perform functions related to our business, including operation of the Sites, mailing information, maintaining databases and processing payments. We may share any information we receive with vendors and service providers retained in connection with provision of these Sites. In doing so, we only provide these third parties with the information that they need to perform their specific function.

Legal Requirements: TRW may disclose your Personal Information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation; (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of TRW; (iii) act in urgent circumstances to respond to an emergency or protect the personal safety of any person or the public or (iv) protect against legal liability.

Your Choices:

You can visit the Sites without providing any Personal Information. However if you choose not to provide any Personal Information, you may not be able to use certain Sites.

Children:

The Sites are not intended to be used or accessed by children who are under the age of 13. TRW does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any Personal Information through the Sites. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Information to TRW through the Service, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information.

Links to Third-Party Websites: 

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Sites. The Sites may contain links to other websites or services not operated or controlled by TRW. The policies, practices and procedures described in this Privacy Policy do not apply to third-party websites or services. Any links from the Sites to third-party websites or services do not imply that TRW endorses or has reviewed those sites or services. We suggest that you contact those sites or services directly for information on their data practices and privacy policies.

Security:

TRW takes reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your Personal Information in an effort to prevent loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.  However, no Internet or email transmission is ever fully secure or error free. In particular, email sent to or from the Sites may not be secure.  Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us when disclosing any Personal Information to TRW.

The Sites and our business may change from time to time. As a result, TRW may change or modify this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Information. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date indicated above. Your continued use of the Services after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your consent to TRW data practices as described in such revised Privacy Policy.
